Step-by-step guide

Check prerequisites

  • Plan: Plus or Max

  • Role: Administrator

  • Availability: Centralized user management with at least two companies

Note: You only see users from companies where you have admin rights.

Select an inactive user

  • Open Settings → User management in Centralized user management.

  • Set the filter Status = Inactive.

  • Click the user you want to reactivate.

Prepare reactivation

  • Candis shows the user’s former companies. Select the companies where you want to reactivate the user.

  • Candis displays the former roles per company for your reference.

  • Candis restores Name, Email address, Profile picture, and Language.

Tip: Adjust roles per organization after reactivation: Open organization → Edit user.

Note (mixed activity): A user can be globally Inactive but still active in individual companies (e.g., after deactivation without centralized user management). Candis lists these already active compnaies for transparency; you cannot deselect them.

Reactivate

  • Click Reactivate and confirm.

  • Candis reactivates the user in the selected companies.

  • The user then appears under Status = Active in the centralized user list.

Examples

  • Returning to the company: Reactivate a user in all former companies, then adjust roles per company.

  • Fix a misclick: Reactivate a mistakenly deactivated user and review data and roles.
