Before we get to the steps you should take if you have suspicious transactions on your credit card, we'd like to point out that credit cards are a popular source of fraud. It's important to be vigilant and check for unusual activity on your account. If you notice any suspicious transactions, act immediately to minimize any potential damage.

Here are the steps you should follow:

1. cancel your card immediately and reapply:

Cancel your card immediately via the web app or mobile app.

Click here for instructions on how to cancel your card

You can also contact a credit card manager directly to have the card replaced. This will automatically order a new card with the same conditions. In addition, credit card details stored with business partners will be updated automatically (this is a Visa function and may have restrictions).

2. send us all data on the suspicious transactions:

Then contact us via chat or email at support@candis.io and please provide the following information about the transactions:

  • Payee

  • The date

  • Time of day

  • Amount (also in foreign currency)

  • the full name of the credit card holder

  • the last four digits of the credit card number

  • Alternatively, you can also send us screenshots from which we can extract this information.

3. we request a refund of the transactions:

After receiving your information, we will submit a request to refund the transactions.

Please note that unauthorized, suspicious transactions can only be claimed retroactively for up to 60 days. The faster you act, the better we can help resolve unauthorized activity on the card and provide a refund if necessary.
