With the Card Manager role, you can create, edit, and manage Candis credit cards. In this article, you will learn how to create new cards, use pre-accounting effectively, and adjust existing cards.
Create a new card
Click Create new card on the homepage
orOpen Credit Cards and click Create new card in the top right corner.
Select employee and define card type
Select the team member you want to issue the card to.
Define the card type and set the card limits.
You define:
The total card limit
The reset period (monthly, quarterly, yearly, or total – no reset)
The maximum amount per transaction
Note: If you select “total,” the system does not automatically reset the limit.
Define the card’s purpose
Add a card label (for example, “Trade Fair Hamburg” or “Marketing Software”).
Set the validity period.
A clear label helps you later analyze cards by purpose and assign transactions correctly.
Add accounting information
In the final step, add accounting information such as:
Business partner
Cost center
Approver
Every payment made with this card automatically includes this information in the pre-accounting.
Why adding accounting information at card level makes sense
If you create cards based on purpose (for example, per merchant or per expense category such as “Marketing”), you and your accounting team benefit from:
Faster approval processes
Fewer manual entries
Reduced risk of errors
Clear structure, even with many cards
Since you can create an unlimited number of cards, it is recommended to structure cards by their intended use.
