Request a New Credit Card and Submit Change Requests
In this article, you will learn how to request a new credit card, define limits, and request changes for existing cards.
Request a New Credit Card
Open the Dashboard
Click on the Candis logo in the top left corner.
Open your Dashboard.
Click Request card.
Select Card Type and Define Limits
Choose a card type.
Set the total card limit.
Define how often the limit resets:
Monthly
Quarterly
Yearly
Total (no reset)
Set the transaction limit (maximum amount per payment).
Note: The total limit restricts the available amount within the selected reset period. The transaction limit restricts individual payments.
Define Card Usage
Add a card label.
Example: Trade Fair Hamburg or Marketing Expenses
Set the expiration date.
The card label helps you understand the purpose of the card later.
Coming soon: You will be able to apply granular card controls, such as restricting payments to specific merchants.
Add Accounting Information
Enter accounting information, such as:
Business partner
Cost center
Approver
Submit the request.
All transactions made with this credit card automatically include this information in the pre-accounting fields.
Why You Should Define Accounting Information
Creating cards based on their purpose allows you to benefit from automated pre-accounting:
Faster transaction processing
Less manual work for accountants
Reduced risk of errors
Clear overview in the dashboard, even with many cards
Example: Create separate cards for specific merchants or expense categories such as Marketing Expenses.
Request Changes for an Existing Credit Card
You can request changes to the credit card limit at any time.
Open your Dashboard.
Select one of your existing credit cards.
Click Settings.
Submit your requested change, such as a new limit.
Once your accounting team approves the request, the new credit card limit becomes available immediately.
