The following DATEV interfaces are available for Candis:

Belegbilderservice (not recommended)
Only document images including the Candis process protocol are exported to DATEV Unternehmen online.
We recommend using this export variant only in consultation with our support team, as in most cases we don't recommend to already enter document data in Candis and then NOT export it to DATEV Unternehmen online.
The Belegbilderservice is used for document types that:
Neither "Rechnungseingang" nor "Rechnungsausgang" are and
Document types that are not imported directly into the cash ledger.
For all documents, if the Rechnungsdatenservice 1.0 is not activated.
In Settings → DATEV integration you see the switch Document data being inactive.
With this export, only the document images are exported with a summary (current document data and change history).
Rechnungsdatenservice 1.0
Export of document images with the Candis process protocol and document data are exported to DATEV Unternehmen online. This interface is particularly suitable for companies that have an external accounting.
The requirements for a successful export to DATEV Unternehmen online
Do you not yet have a Belege online client? Then we have summarized the setup of Belege online and rights management here:
All the necessary settings can be made easily via MyDATEV Mandantenregistrierung. First select the company for which the settings are to be made in the client overview (Mandantenübersicht). Then open the MyDATEV Mandantenregistrierung. You can find this on your DATEV Arbeitsplatz under the program search (Programmsuche) on the right-hand side of the screen. Enter the product there and select it from the hit list.
The name of the company will be displayed in the next menu. Now click on Registrierung starten.
Now you come to the product selection. Select the product DATEV Unternehmen online.
It is important that you do not select 'compact', as the DATEV Unternehmen online compact version cannot process document images.
Now select Select product.
You can now decide whether to create a new consultant number (Beraternummer) or use an existing one. It is important that the consultant and client numbers are always identical to the details in DATEV Rechnungswesen otherwise the data import is not possible. In this example, we will use the existing one. After the entry, all employees who are already registered under this consultant number are displayed on the right.
Is an employee missing? Then you can register the missing employee here and order a SmartLogin at the same time.
You can complete the order process by clicking on Weiter zur Bestellung.
You will now receive a summary of the order and only need to accept DATEV's terms and conditions and the service description and click on Kostenpflichtig bestellen.
You now have the option of assigning permissions to future users. To do this, select the user on the left and enter the tasks that the user should be able to perform in DATEV Unternehmen online.
Now let's move on to the selection of applications (Auswahl der Anwendungen). Belege online is required for Candis. Optionally, you can also create Bank online for payments and Kassenbuch online for Non-Candis-credit cards.
Click on Weiter to create the client.
Now you can set up the connection between Candis and DATEV Unternehmen online.
In Candis go to:

Prepare your DATEV Unternehmen online account
Check DATEV Unternehmen online for the extended working mode
This is located on your home page "Belege" in DATEV Unternehmen online. The processing form must be set to "Erweitert" as shown in the picture. If Standard or Standard/Erweitert is set here, then the document data transfer form cannot be activated under DATEV-Cloud-Services.
Activate the extended working mode (Erweiterte Bearbeitungsform)
It is not possible to change from the processing form Standard to Extended with your authentication medium if you are not a DATEV admin.

Important
This change can only be made by your tax advisor or a DATEV Admin. We have linked to the DATEV article (Unfortunately, DATEV instructions are only available in German.) on the subject of "Belege online - Bearbeitungsform ändern".
You have to change it to Erweitert for both Lieferantenrechnungen (supplier invoices) and Kundenrechnungen (customer invoices).
Configure the current financial year
In the right-hand side menu, you will find the menu item "Jahresübernahme durchführen". This will take you to the "Jahresübernahme" menu.
Important
Financial years are handled individually for supplier and customer invoices. Even if you do not transmit customer invoices with CANDIS, the current financial year must be set up for both when connecting under DATEV-Cloud-Services.
This menu always shows the next year to which a transfer can take place. If we are in the year 2025, then 2026 must be displayed there as the next year.
You can simply tick the checkbox for the supplier invoices and customer invoices and then click on Jahresübernahme durchführen. If your financial year is more than one year apart, you have to repeat this process accordingly.
Note
This setting must only be made once. Afterward, the year transfers are carried out independently by the export. As soon as the first invoice from the next year is uploaded, the year transfers are automatically carried out.
Ordering the Rechnungsdatenservice 1.0
All the necessary settings can be made easily and conveniently via MyDATEV Mandanteregistrierung.
First open the
DATEV Arbeitsplatz.
Select the relevant Mandant you want to change.
Using the Programmsuche on the right side you call up the MyDATEV Mandantenregistrierung.
The name of the client will be displayed in the next menu. Now click on Start registration.
Now you come to the product selection. Select the product Rechnungsdatenservice 1.0.
If an employee missing you can register missing employees and apply for a SmartLogin at the same time.
You can complete the order process by clicking on Weiter zur Bestellung.
You will now receive an order summary and only need to accept DATEV's terms and conditions and the service description and click on Kostenpflichtig bestellen.
You now have the option of assigning permissions to future users. To do this, select the person on the left and enter the tasks to be performed in DATEV Unternehmen online on the right.
Once you have completed the order, the change will be activated immediately. You can then activate the connection under
Einstellungen
DATEV Schnittstelle
and then reconnect to DATEV Unternehmen online. The information is then retrieved from your authentication medium (SmartLogin or mIDentity-Stick) and you can activate it under Document data.
Important
If the connection is not disconnected and reconnected, but only the button next to the document data is pressed, the error message will remain. Disconnecting and reconnecting is therefore mandatory.
Buchungsdatenservice (at least PLUS package required)
The Buchungsdatenservice is a cloud service of DATEV and enables the transfer of
booking records
core data
payment conditions
... to DATEV Rechnungswesen. This must be ordered for the portfolio and then the permissions must be stored on the DATEV authentication medium.

It often happens that the Buchungsdatenservice is already accessible to all clients, but the permission to use it is missing.
A DATEV admin can provide these permissions.

If this is not displayed under the Cloud Services Accounting, then we have summarized the order of the Buchungsdatenservice once for you.
Purchase of the Buchungsdatenservice
All the necessary settings can be made easily and conveniently via the MyDATEV client registration.
First, open the
DATEV Arbeitsplatz
Select the client you want to change.
Use the program search on the right-hand side of the screen to open the MyDATEV Mandanteregistrierung.
In the next menu, you will see the name of the client / company. Now click on Registrierung starten.
Now you are now lead to the product selection. Select the product DATEV Buchungsdatenservice.
By clicking on Weiter zu Personen festlegen you can activate your users for the service.
Here are the prices of the DATEV for the Buchungsdatenservice (Stand 10.05. 23):
The calculation takes place according to transmitted booking records per client portfolio:
1.30 EUR/month up to 500
2.50 EUR/month up to 1.000
4.50 EUR/month up to 2.000
10.00 EUR/month up to 5000
15.00 EUR/month up to 10.000
27.00 EUR/month per further 10.000
The basic price of the scale of 1.30 EUR/month is always incurred when creating a client portfolio, regardless of the data transmission. Additional charge: When creating a client database, additional costs for DATEV vouchers online per client database arise (see DATEV price list under Art. No. 95157).
The prices do not include VAT. DATEV's terms and conditions apply.
The last step is to set up the Buchungsdatenservice. If necessary, this can only be done by your DATEV admin (usually the tax office).
If you also need to order DATEV Unternehmen online, you can do this in this step outlined in the screenshot below. If not, then this step can be skipped.
Note: When the Buchungdsatenservice is connected in Candis there can be a delay of 10 - 15 min in some cases. The Buchungsstapel is not connecting in that case (disconnect - wait - connect again).

Connect the DATEV Buchungsdatenservice interface in the Candis settings
In order to use the Buchungsdatenservice for exporting directly to DATEV Rechnungswesen, the connection to your DATEV Rechnungswesen program and the DATEV interface Buchungsdatenservice must be established in the Candis settings.
To do this, go to Settings → DATEV integration and disconnect your current connection. Now select DATEV Rechnungswesen in the screen and click on Connect.
In the next step, select the client and click on Connect again. You will be redirected to DATEV, where you confirm access with your DATEV Smart-ID and give Candis the appropriate authorization.
In the next step, the G/L account length, the chart of accounts and the fiscal year are defined. Please make sure that the entries match the values in DATEV Rechnungswesen, otherwise error messages may occur when importing into DATEV.
If the Buchungsdatenservice has already been set up via the MyDATEV Mandantenregistrierung for the corresponding client, then it will be displayed under Settings → DATEV integration → Export features → Posting batch that the Service is connected. We will add the account numbers for provisions in the next step.
If, on the other hand, an error message is displayed stating that the authorizations are still missing or that the interface has not been set up via the MyDATEV client registration, follow the steps in this article.
Defining the account numbers for provisions
Now the account number for provision postings must be defined in the Candis settings. Go to Settings → Provisions and click in the respective fields to add account numbers for provisions and other assets.
