Here is the English translation:
How do I activate the Credit Card Multi-Account Feature?
With the Multi-Account feature, you can use a single Pliant credit card account with an approved credit limit across multiple Candis organizations.
Each organization receives its own cards and budgets – without visibility into the other organizations.
Important: Only the main account has a credit limit. All subaccounts operate exclusively with preloaded wallet balances. Subaccounts may only be accounts that belong to the same legal entity as the main account (e.g., branches).
This is particularly helpful for companies that operate a central main account but want to manage billing for multiple projects or branches separately.
Important: Only customers on the Credit Card Pro plan can use this feature.
When am I allowed to use the Multi-Account feature – and when not?
When you are allowed to create subaccounts
Subaccounts are intended to reflect structures within the same legal entity. The main account remains the legal basis.
Check the legal entity
Ensure that the subaccount does not represent a separate legal entity.
Permitted examples:
Company A “Location: Cologne”
Company A “Project: A”
In both cases, Company A remains the legal entity. The subaccount merely reflects an internal organizational structure.
Note: The legal review is conducted for Company A. Any additional company that is not Company A must always undergo a separate legal review.
When you are not allowed to create a subaccount
You must not create a subaccount if it represents an independent legal entity.
Not permitted, for example:
“Company B GmbH” as a subaccount under Company A
Why is this not allowed?
The main account is legally registered under Company A. Company B does not undergo a separate legal review. This creates a legal risk.
Such constellations may result in:
Closure of individual subaccounts
Restriction or closure of the entire main account
Potential payment issues
Improper structures often lead to payment problems.
Example
The credit card account is registered under Company A.
A transfer is made from the bank account of Company B.
In this case, the bank will reject the payment. The credit card account and the transferring bank account belong to different legal entities.
Tip: Always ensure that the payment source and the account belong to the same legal entity.
Use Cases
Permitted structure
Company A
Subaccount: Berlin Location
Subaccount: Cologne Location
Subaccount: Expansion Project 2026
All subaccounts legally belong to Company A.
Not permitted structure
Company A
Subaccount: Company B GmbH
This represents an independent legal entity. Company B GmbH requires its own separate account.
Activation of the Multi-Account Feature
Setup is carried out in collaboration with Pliant Support and the Candis team.
1. Activate Multi-Account in Candis
Submit the request to Candis
Wait for confirmation
2. Create subaccounts in Pliant
Create the desired subaccounts in the Pliant environment.
After setup, you will receive confirmation from Pliant within a few days, along with an IBAN for each subaccount.
3. Link to Candis
Inform the Candis Support team of:
The exact name of the subaccount in Pliant
The corresponding Candis organization
After confirmation, the subaccount will be activated in Candis.
4. Provide funds for subaccounts
Since subaccounts do not have their own credit limit, they must first be funded.
Transfer the desired balance to the respective IBAN of the subaccount.
The subaccount can only be used once the payment has been received.
Notes & Common Pitfalls
Main account with credit limit, subaccounts wallet only: The credit limit applies exclusively to the main account. Subaccounts operate only with prepaid balances.
No card overlap: Cards assigned to one organization are not visible in other organizations.
Activation may take time: Subaccount activation takes time until the IBAN is assigned and funds have been received.
