In this article, we provide an overview of the Candis credit card billing functions. We explain how billing statements works and which billing frequencies and payment methods are available.

Billing statements

The Candis credit card statements summarize all card transactions made by the card users of a company with one of their cards.

All cards issued to a company run under the same credit limit and are settled via the card account of the respective company. A single account statement simplifies the billing process. There is no need to reconcile the individual statements of sometimes hundreds of cards against the outstanding balance under the company's credit limit. Instead, Candis customers receive a single statement with all of the company's card transactions.

Once a month is complete, the statement PDF can be downloaded. Click on a month to see an overview of payments depending on the frequency of the statement payment, for example weekly (see next section).

Billing statement periods vs. frequency of bill payments

Candis creates the billing statements (downloadable as PDF) in a monthly cycle. However, the payment frequency for settling outstanding settlement amounts is independent of the monthly settlement period. This means that Candis enables the repayment of outstanding settlement amounts at different intervals. We currently offer monthly, bi-weekly and weekly settlement payments.

It is also possible to pre-fund your account (pre-funding option), i.e. the company pays a certain amount into the card account before payments are made with the Candis credit cards. The pre-funding option is a practical function to extend the payment capacity of a credit line. Please contact customer service to find out more about this function.

The selected payment frequency is important because the total available spending volume, e.g. several bill payments per month, also means that you can use the amount of your credit limit several times per month.

Payment methods for invoices (SEPA Direct Debit)

Outstanding invoice amounts are usually paid by SEPA Direct Debit.

For most customers, we only require a standard SEPA-CORE mandate, which can be issued within the application of our partner Pliant (at least one person in your company has access to Pliant).

As required for direct debits, you will receive an email notification of the debit amounts two bank working days before your billing account is debited.

The billing account can also be changed with our partner Pliant.
