When you add a mobile number to your Candis profile, Candis sends a one-time code by SMS to verify the number. Candis also uses the code for two-factor authentication (2FA) by SMS. Candis delivers SMS only in certain countries. If your number is from a country that is not in the Supported countries table, you will not receive an SMS.

What to do if your country is not supported
If Candis does not support your country, you cannot receive SMS codes. Instead, use a different 2FA method to sign in, e.g., the Candis app.
On the sign-in page, click a different method under “Or try another way,” e.g., Email.
Install the Candis app and sign in, or set up an authenticator app. You can find the steps under Set up an authenticator app in Candis.
Note: Switching to an alternative 2FA method does not apply to credit card payments. For those, you need a verified mobile number from a supported country.
Credit card payments
Candis credit cards use Visa 3D Secure, a Visa procedure for confirming card payments. For an online transaction, it checks whether the legitimate cardholder is actually making the payment and confirms it only after successful identification.
Visa 3D Secure supports SMS only. For card payments, there is therefore no alternative method. To use Candis credit cards, you need a verified mobile number from a supported country.
