What is the "Blocked Senders" feature?

With the Blocked Senders feature, you prevent emails from specific senders from being processed in Candis. These emails will not appear as documents in Candis and won't show up in the document overview.

Typical use cases:

  • Block spam senders that send advertising to your Mail Inbox

  • Exclude recurring automated notifications (e.g. no-reply addresses)

  • Permanently block phishing or fraud senders

Requirements

  • You need the role Administrator or Accountant to manage blocked senders.

  • The feature is available per organization. If you manage multiple organizations, you maintain the list of blocked senders separately for each organization.

Managing blocked senders

You'll find all settings under Settings › Mail Inbox › Blocked Senders.

Activate the feature

  1. Open the Settings area in Candis.

  2. Select the Mail Inbox section.

  3. Go to the Blocked Senders area.

  4. Activate the toggle in the top right of the Blocked Senders area.

Once the toggle is active, Candis checks the list of blocked senders and automatically filters out matching emails.

Tip: You can deactivate the toggle at any time without deleting the list of blocked senders. The stored addresses remain saved and take effect again as soon as you reactivate the toggle.

Add a sender

  1. Open Settings › Mail Inbox › Blocked Senders.

  2. Click + Add.

  3. Enter the full email address you want to block (e.g. spam@spam.de).

  4. Confirm your entry.

The added email address appears directly in the list under "The following senders are blocked".

Remove a sender

  1. Open Settings › Mail Inbox › Blocked Senders.

  2. Find the email address you want to allow again in the list.

  3. Remove the entry via its action menu.

After removal, Candis processes emails from this address as usual again and creates documents from them in the document overview.
