How to link documents

In this article, we explain how to link documents and what advantages this has.

With the ‘Link Documents’ function, you can directly link related documents with each other. The documents remain stored separately, but you can easily navigate between them via the link. This way, you can digitally link all audit-relevant documents of a business case with each other and have all important information at hand in case of queries.

Linking documents

The ‘Link document’ function can be found in the processing form on the left-hand side. You can link all document types with each other, including transactions, regardless of the process step in which the document is currently located (inbox, approvals, archive, export).

Click on ‘Link document’. An overview of all documents and transactions received in Candis will open. Use the filter options in the table, such as tags and the full-text search, to find the documents you want to link. You can also select multiple documents.

Coming soon: by hovering over a document, you will have the option to preview the document. This way, you can see whether it is the right one before linking to it.

Unlinking a document

To disconnect a linked document, go to the document you want to disconnect and click on the 3 dots. Now select ‘Unlinked document’ and the connection is severed.
