With our improved search functionality you can find your documents now faster and easier. Simply use one of the following operators to help find the documents you need.

Who can use the full-text search?

Customers who use our extension for document and contract management or are on the PLUS or MAX plan. The full-text search is only available in the archive under the “Invoices”, “Contracts” and “All documents” tabs.

Search operators at a glance:

Wildcard search with the * operator

If you only know part of a word, you can use the * at the end of the word to extend the search.

Example: Article number

You only know the first part of an article number and enter the following:

'24045478'

You will now see all search results where the number combination appears anywhere, but you only want to see the documents that start with this number combination.

  • 233442404547833

  • ZQ24045478AB

  • 3424045478

To find all documents that begin with this article number, add a * directly after the search term:

'24045478*'

The search results could then look like this:

  • 24045478-3456

  • 24045478-1123

  • 24045478RTKE

  • 24045478e1u3

Example: Search for terms

When searching with terms and the operator *, the search for 'ca*' only finds documents containing words beginning with ca:

  • car

  • cast

  • cake

Example: Document name

You can also use the * operator between words. This is useful if you know the beginning and end of a term but there are no characters in the middle.

For example: One colleague always saves documents with certain abbreviations, e.g. month and year at the beginning and her initials “MM” for Marlin Müller at the end.

To find all the documents she saved in February 2024, enter the following:

022024*MM

The search results could then look like this:

  • 022024BergstrMM

  • 022024ProjectMountainMM

  • 022024SummaryMM

Exact spelling with operator: “”

Find an exact word group or character string. Example: “invoice no. 12345” only finds documents that contain the exact expression invoice no. 12345. Note that spaces and special characters may be ignored or normalized.

Operator: OR

Dog OR Pet finds all documents that contain the word dog or the word pet.

Operator: AND

Invoice AND 2024 finds all documents containing the word invoice and 2024.

With these new operators, you can refine your search in the archive and search more specifically for the desired documents.
