In the notification preferences, you decide which notifications Candis sends you and which channels they reach you through. For each notification type, you can turn the email, web, Slack, and Teams channels on or off individually. The settings apply to your user account in every company you belong to.
The notification settings only change which notifications you receive. They don't change which notifications and channels Candis offers in general.
Requirements
Notification preferences are currently in a test phase and are available only to users taking part in it. To join the test phase, contact Candis support. Candis support then checks whether you can get access.
Choose notification types and channels
In the bottom left, click your name and select Notification Preferences.
Find the row of the notification you want to change, e.g., Mentions.
In that row, select the checkbox under each channel you want to receive the notification through: E-Mail, Web, Slack, or Teams.
In the same row, clear the checkbox under each channel you don't want to receive the notification through.
Click Save to save your changes.
Note: Candis applies your changes only after you save them. If you close the notification settings without saving, your previous settings stay in place.
To stop receiving a notification entirely, clear all channels in its row. A grayed-out checkbox means the channel isn't available for that notification yet, and you can't select it.
To receive notifications through Slack or Teams, the matching integration must be set up. You set it up in the settings.

Comments: comments on documents, transactions, purchase requests, and reimbursements
Mentions: mentions in comments on invoices, reimbursements, transactions, and purchase requests
Below "Status Updates":
Invoice Approval: invoices waiting for your approval, and rejections
The Daily Digest will be developed next.
Limitations
Notifications that Candis needs for its processes or for security aren't listed in the notification settings. You can't turn them off.
The notification settings don't apply to notifications in the Candis app. The Candis app doesn't have its own notification settings yet.
Examples
Approvals in Teams, comments by email: An approver works in Microsoft Teams during the day. For Rechnungsfreigaben und Ablehnungen, she also selects Teams. For Allgemeine Kommentare, she keeps only E-Mail selected.
Fewer emails: An accountant clears E-Mail for Allgemeine Kommentare and keeps Web selected. For Persönliche Erwähnungen, she keeps E-Mail selected.
