Inviting members to Candis

The configuration for members is accessible to Administrators and Accountants.

  • Administrators can invite, edit, remove, and assign roles to members.

  • Accountants cannot invite or manage members. Accountants are only permitted to mark members as Absent.

Adding Members

You can invite colleagues to your Candis entity via email invitation. Members are invited through the Settings section, where you also assign a role to them directly.

The assigned role determines which areas of Candis the member can access and which actions they are authorized to perform.

When sending an invitation, you can choose from several roles with different user permissions.

Available Roles in Candis

The following roles exist in Candis:

  • Administrator

  • Accountant

  • Credit Card Manager

  • Requester

  • Approver

A complete overview of all roles and permissions can be found here.

Accepting Invitations and Activating Members

Invited members must accept the invitation via email and complete their registration. Only after successful registration will the member be fully active in Candis.

Once activated, you can assign the member to approval processes or include them in workflows.

If an invited member accidentally deleted the invitation email, an Administrator can resend the invitation at any time via the Settings section.

Restoring Members

You can reactivate a deactivated member at any time, provided their access was previously disabled.

  1. Open Settings.

  2. Select the deactivated member from the member overview.

  3. Click Restore to reactivate the member’s original status.

After restoration, the member regains all roles, permissions, and assignments that existed prior to deactivation.

Only Administrators can restore members.
