Import workflows from another company

The import workflow feature lets you transfer existing workflows from another company, including their rules and approval steps. This sets up your processes faster and more consistently, without building everything from scratch.

How to import workflows from another organization

  1. Open Settings β†’ Workflows

  2. Above the workflow list, click Import

  1. Select the source company (Import selected) you want to copy workflows from

  2. In the list, select one or more workflows you want to copy. Click Import selected to import the chosen workflows

How to adjust workflows before importing

You can open, review, and adjust each workflow before importing. This matters when the target company has differences in users, teams, or permissions.

  1. Click a workflow

  2. In the workflow view, review the workflow and resolve any conflicts:

    1. Approvers are missing or lack the required permissions If approvers are not present or do not have sufficient rights, a blue notice appears with: How to resolve this:

      1. Assign different approvers, or

      2. add the missing approvers to the target organization and make sure they have the required permissions

    2. Duplicate workflow name If a workflow with the same name already exists in the target organization, rename the workflow before importing

  3. Return to the list, select the workflows you want, and click Import selected

Tip: If you have made changes to a workflow, the results are cached until you copy the workflow (and any others) to the target company.

Please note

  • Imported workflows are a copy. They are not synced with the original workflows in the source company

  • "There are no workflows" The selected source company has no workflows available to copy
